Welcome to our 684th edition and tonight I want to salute our good friends in the junior dragster class. I cannot say enough about the importance of this entry level class that shares the same level of passion for drag-racing as a Top Fuel Dragster professional. All of our classes currently have racers that have grown up through our Junior Dragster classes. These kids take every run in search of the win and have a blast building friendships along the way, and chasing the points. These young racers learn how to win and how to loose, and they do it with class. I've had the good pleasure of attending several junior dragster schools and it's so nice the see the enthusiasm this group has for the sport. They study safety and they know their machines inside and out and openly share the knowledge around the group. Seriously, everyone could learn from the ADRA Junior Dragster School. Kudos to the people that make those events a reality. This weekend I built my 2018 poster for the junior dragster class and please share and enjoy this around. That's my deal for this week and safe travels to all those travelling to Moncton for the ADRA's Annual General Meeting and Awards Banquet. Play safe and have fun. INDY

and as a side note to the junior drag racing story; this year Debbie Livingstone Martin and the late Paul MacKenzie will be inducted into the maritime motorsports hall of fame in New Brunswick. the efforts of these two helped the early years of the junior program and some of the early graduates are serious competitors today in all classes. if I remember they had the first 2 cars in this area and Debbie's dad built them in his shop home. and both are still runnin today. hats off to both of them for all the efforts and the successful "racing against drugs program".
