Although I haven't posted in a couple of days, don't take that to mean that nothing's been happening. I am pleased to announce the signing of three new sponsors! Rob Baxter is another long time Super Pro racer who has an appreciation for Stock & Super Stock. His Baxter Racing team has generously offered to sponsor a "Best Package" award for the person pulling off the run that is closest to being perfect. With the competitiveness of the Stock/Super Stock racers, this prize and title is sure to be coveted by the winner. I also have a sponsor that is funding a "Best Light" award, and am just waiting to confirm some details before I make that announcement. Watch for it soon! We are also very pleased to announce that Indy Images and Select Printing have combined to offer over $1000.00 in product value to the Greenfield Stock/Super Stock Challenge. Indy Images and Select Printing are working together to provide each contestant a special souvenir of this inaugural event. With Indy Images high quality photographs and Select Printing’s state of the art printing capability each contestant will be receiving a commemorative 10’ x 12” mounted photograph of the car participating in the Greenfield Challenge. In addition Indy Images and Select Printing have also combined efforts in producing an eye catching promotional poster which will be distributed in the Spring. Keep your eye out for these posters featuring some of the area’s best known Stock & Super Stock cars. For more information on these sponsors please visit their websites at: www.indynut.comwww.selectprinting.caThanks to all of our sponsors for their support!

We hope to have more exciting sponsor announcements over the coming weeks, so stay tuned! Well, it didn't take long to come up with our next sponsorship announcement! Kevin MacLeod just phoned me and committed $150 in prize money to the racer who runs the "Furthest Under the Index". This award will be awarded to the racer who runs furthest under his index in qualifying. (Note that with the random qualifying format this does not mean that he will automatically be put as #1 on the final pairings.) This award is being presented in memory of Norm Pickrem, who was a staunch supporter of Stock and Super Stock racing in the Maritimes. Thanks, Kevin! Sponsors To Date:
- Cottman Transmissions, Dartmouth, NS $500 - Chipper's Auto Services & Performance, Belmont, NS $250 - Kevin Lively Jr. Transportation Services, Lr. Sackville, NS $300 - Indy Images - photography and graphics services - Select Printing - printing and publishing services - Baxter Racing - Best Package Award $100 - Portatree - "Snoozers Are Losers" Award - Eliminator Super 2000 Practice Tree - Kevin MacLeod - The Furthest Under The Index Award In Memory Of Norm Pickrem $150

I would think that if more than 16 were to sign up that would be okay would it not Jeff.... ;D ;D ;D ;D, it would be great for the first one that Greenfield hosts to have a 16 + car field.

....our goal of having at least a 16 car field! Certainly Sam; the more the merrier! I am just saying that 16 cars is what I consider to be the minimum number required, so it's the first milestone to get past. More cars means more fun for all, and also means that more Stk/SS races are more likely to happen! I've made a correction to the sponsorship list. The "Low Qualifier Award" has been renamed to be "The Furthest Under The Index Award'. As we are doing a random draw to determine the 1st round pairings the original title was causing some confusion. The new wording should resolve that.

Hi Guys,
In an attempt to take some of the load off of Jeff for this event I will volunteer to help anyone interested in finding out more about class racing and whether their car will fit a class.
I might not have all the answers but I know where to find them and who does. Trying to work your way through the NHRA/IHRA rule books can be quite difficult the first few times. I'd like to do my part and try and help grow the class locally.
So if you are reading this and have questions please feel free to email me at mhowes@globalconvention.ca
Mark
