1. "I don't care who you are, that's funny right there". You won the NSDRA Pro championship, you should get in free..again. 2. Jeff says, " 1. IHRA rules and indexes will be used except in rare cases where a class may be NHRA only."

Bill;
As Jeremy already stated, IHRA classes and indexes will apply. As for entry costs, that was spelled out in the initial announcement:
"The $50 entry fee noted in the rules is in addition to the appropriate track entry fee. 100% of the Stk/SS entry will be paid out in winnings, and any sponsorship monies will be added to the payout purse. The track entry fees have two options: racers who cannot stay for Sunday can enter for Saturday only, or by paying the full fee participants can race in all of the other weekend races, including the ADRA race."
None of the local tracks are flush with profits and all need to pay their bills. We felt that this was a fair approach. If long term sponsorships are found, then maybe this can be revisited in the future, but for this race the costs are finalized.
You are known as one of Stock's biggest supporters around here, and I hope that we can soon add your name to the confirmed list!

If Saturday is totally rained out it may be a squeeze to fit everything in on Sunday along with the ADRA event, but the guys in Greenfield are masters at getting cars down the track efficiently, so I'm confident that it will get done (barring bad Sunday weather too of course). The guys that are racing in the ADRA points too might have to be ready for some hot-lapping if they go some rounds though!

All the " RACERS " need to do is "SHOW" for the " SHOW " and Greenfield Dragway Volunteers will take care of the rest. ;D ;D

Jeff, We have been following the discussion on MDN, the topic was very popular reading. It is very difficult to get the class cars out to the same event. There are many reasons. Malcolm London and I tried one year put some hard work into and did not get the support of the class cars.It appears there may be some new class cars joining the ranks of S/SS We will make every effort to support you. I am behind the use of IHRA rules 100%. I have been impressed with the sportsmen program of IHRA and especially how they treat the Racers. Thanks to you Jeff and the others involved in the project. Bill Campbell E/SA 1428 IHRA only

Good to hear from you Bill, and Thank You for your support. I'll keep my fingers crossed that you and Malcolm are both able to come and join the fun, after all the more the merrier!
As far as getting the class cars out; it certainly has been difficult to date, but it's a worthwhile endeavour and I'm willing to give it my best shot. In my opinion, if the Stock & Super Stock racers are to have any hope of maintaining the unique identity of their class amongst the sea of Pro & Super Pro cars in this region, they need to take advantage of any opportunity to showcase what they do. Hopefully they'll see it that way too.

Count me in good to see that Greenfield is going to hold at least one race it can only help the car count build as the series develops.I for one cant be on the other thread yapping about racing class and not show up I mean COME ON!!!!!!LOL.It will be different with the slightly different rules but maybe we need to be alittle open minded to the likly dozen or so cars that are very close to being class legal?Not sure, I know that I built a class car to race and if there is a race close to home Ill be there.
