Good to hear that the Camaro is staying as a Super Stocker, Dave. Looking forward to seeing it back on the track.
Surely someone can tell me the hometowns of Billy & Trevor Ervin and Jack Kierstead?

Jack hails from Onslow Mountain, just around the corner from us.
This really is an impressive amount of cars, does anyone have ideas on what the best way to go about organizing something like this would be?

Chris, that's the big challenge. I was hoping this thread would trigger a bigger response from the Stk/SS guys. Of the 16 contributors to this thread so far, only 7 are Stk/SS racers, and only a couple have actively raced in those classes locally over the last few years.
I'm not sure who's been organizing the Stk/SS series around here over the past few years, but I'm surprised that they haven't weighed in here yet to offer their insight. The best place to start might be to reach out to them to see what plans they might have in the works for 2010. Otherwise, I'd suggest that someone needs to contact each of the racers on the list, to see first of all if they are willing to participate in a series in sufficient numbers to convince the tracks to fit it into their plans.
Good Luck!

Mark Steeves car is 1971 Pontiac Trans Am runs can run E or F/SA. Car has not been out on the track for around 6 or 7 years however. But is complete and would not take a lot to get it running again.

Thanks for the info. Here is the updated list:
**List deleted from this post as it's updated in a later post ** Besides the legal Stk/SS cars already around, I wonder how many local cars need only a class legal engine to be eligible to run Stk/SS? These cars would not "make the list" at this point, but a successful local series might motivate them to switch their combos and join the fun.

I've got to "stickey" this thread for obvious reasons. Besides giving the Stock/Superstock bunch a thread of their own it'll make it easier to find if I pin it to the top of the page. Too bad the VW wouldn't fit in Stock.....

Thanks for "stickying" this Don....with over 2200 hits so far it's obvious that there's still a lot of interest in Stock & Super Stock racing here in the Maritimes.
