Six Pack - I think it would be ideal to go to a box/no box format with an overlap. As long as no box was open to fast cars as well which i think is what you're getting at. Then maybe make sportsman 13.00 and slower to eliminate some of the long headstarts. But this idea has been pushed for plenty of times with no success.
If you look at how popular the saturday box/no box gamblers have become in recent years, it should be more than enough to show if class changes are made thats how it should go.
Mario- My point isn't that any of us are racing for the money, that would be a bad investment decision! The point i am trying to make is that if the car count goes up the payout should because of the additional rounds, wear, and tear on gear.
Or maybe round money should be paid? I think that would be a decent idea for all classes. I remember when PEI used to pay round money, everybody liked that!

Believe it or not Benny - I know that one of the cars you speak of definately put the box up on blocks (IE removed it). LED lights messed up alot of footbrakers - the only reason it was used and they got the LEDs figured now..
safety upgrades « Result #9 on Dec 2, 2009, 12:56pm »
With a few unfortunate wrecks and fires this summer it has inspired me to spend the racecar budget this winter on safety upgrades. Sad that it took those events to get me going, but as long as it is done one way or another so be it.
-new a/n fitting steel braided fuel lines instead of hose clamps and rubber -upgraded u-bolt mounts for the batteries -new battery ground cable -new axles and wheel studs -new rubber on all 4 corners -full spool instead of a mini spool -new rad. hoses
I also challenge anyone with a safety issue to put it first.
Check something that you haven't in a good amount of time. Anywhere you can replace rubber with metal could be the difference.

The next scheduled meeting of the CBDRA will be held on February 3, 2010 at the Sydney Airport meeting rooms. We will be looking for a good turn out and will likely have the election of officers at that time. As always, 7pm sharp!
